How to master a ropes course

Need something to satisfy the thrill seeker in you? There are so many ways to experience adventures in Florida, but at Orlando Tree Trek, we are obviously fond of one: a tree to tree adventure park!

Whether you are an experienced climber or just beginning, a treetop trek can be intimidating. Luckily, Orlando Tree Trek has 4 easy steps to help you master a ropes course like ours.

Step 1: Come prepared

Mastering a ropes course starts at home. Wearing the proper attire is the first step. We recommend wearing clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. We also require close-toed shoes, no loose clothing and long hair to be tied back. Plus, you might want to leave your jewelry at home, as necklaces and bracelets might get in the way as you zipline Orlando. As you’re weaving through an obstacle course, you’ll want to be as comfortable as possible, so dress accordingly!

Step 2: Start small

At Orlando Tree Trek, we have four increasingly challenging obstacle courses, each one higher and more exciting than the last. All climbers work progressively through the courses at the rope park, so you’ll have a chance to “learn the ropes”—literally—as you go. This will allow you to learn to tackle different obstacles and build on your skills on later courses. Guides are also available to help you down at any point throughout the courses.

Step 3: Watch and learn

Before you attempt a course, take a break and watch some fellow climbers as they navigate the tree to trek adventures. There are walking trails along the course that allow you to observe others as they progress. You might learn some great tricks that can help as you tackle the obstacles.

Step 4: Have fun

Don’t over think it! A rope adventure park should be fun, not stressful. Probably one of the most important steps is to have fun. And you’re not alone. We have guides that will be there every step of the way.

Follow these steps, and you’re sure to become a master in no time! Before you know it, you’ll be attempting our Red Course, the highest and most challenging in the park. People who have made it through brag about it for years!
