Winter Park Farmers Market

Every Saturday morning, tons of different kinds of vendors set up in Winter Park to create the ultimate farmer’s market. While you check out the farmers market, be sure to walk around the historic areas, including the train station and the original farmers market building. With lots of local shops nearby as well, there is sure to be something for the whole family.

Lake Underhill Trail

Take a stroll down one of Florida’s best trails: Lake Underhill trail. This trail will take you just over a mile around one of the most popular lakes in Orlando and is attached to a longer 75-mile trail. Orlando is filled with bike shop rentals, so you can cruise around the lake and enjoy everything it has to offer.

Leu Gardens

One of the hidden gems in Central Florida: the Harry P. Leu Gardens. Located in the heart of Winter Park, Leu Gardens has a wide variety of flowers, trees and so much more to look at. You can also take a tour of the home located on site, where Harry Leu and his wife lived in the early 1900’s.

The Milk District

When T.G. Lee opened in Orlando in 1925, the surrounding area was deemed the Milk District. Since then, the city of Orlando has taken this name and created an awesome town full of small businesses, amazing restaurants and much more. Within the area, you can also find cool murals by various artists, which adds another element to the district.

Orlando Tree Trek

We may be a little biased here, but another one of Orlando’s hidden gems is most definitely Orlando Tree Trek. OTT is located just 15 minutes away from Disney’s main attractions and is something the whole family could enjoy. Swing, jump and soar through the air while taking on challenges with family and friends. Most of the Orlando locals want to try something out besides theme parks, and OTT is the perfect place to do so.

Lake Eola Park

Downtown Orlando has a lot to offer and can be busy, but tucked away in the center is Lake Eola and its surrounding parks. Take a nice walk around the lake, rent a swan paddle, or enjoy a drink at one of the many restaurants. Plus, Lake Eola often has events happening at the Disney theater located at the lake, a weekly Sunday Farmer’s Market and just a couple blocks away is a full outdoor concert venue at the Dr. Phillips Center.
