Is a rope adventure park safe?
So, you’re officially ready to take the plunge and swing in for you first ever, ropes course adventure! You may be feeling much excitement as you anticipate the thrills of your upcoming treetop trek. Yet, amidst all the excitement, a question nags at you: “Is a rope adventure park safe?”
The answer: At Orlando Tree Trek, it is completely safe for you and your family to take flight with zero concern for your safety. It is important to us that your adventure is just as safe as it is fun.
Here are all the ways we work to ensure our ropes course is safe.
Demo course before you start
Before you embark on your tree top journey, we have a demo course that allows you to ease into the thrills, one step at a time. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned pro, this course is mandatory for all climbers. During this demonstration, you will get a detailed training on the course rules and equipment. Our guides will also ensure your harness is tightened, and you are safe and secure.
We’re there to guide you
Don’t worry! Our guides don’t leave you high and dry once you graduate from the demo course. They are posted all throughout the obstacle course to teach you the ropes (literally), share insider tips, and make sure you’re moving along well. Got questions? They’ve got answers! Never hesitate to shout out to guides for some assistance. These guides are your partners in adventure, ensuring safety and fun go hand in hand.
CLiC-iT
At Orlando Tree Trek, we understand that we are only as safe as our equipment. That’s why we only engage with top-notch gear. We’ve even integrated CLiC-iT’s ingenious system into our setup. This works with magnetic locks that only allow one of the carabiners to be unlocked at a time. In other words, there is multiplied reinforcement for safety.
Dress code
When it comes to your ropes course adventure, think safety over style! We require all climbers to adhere to our clothing requirements, enforced with safety in mind. Closed-toe shoes are an absolute must. We also ask that you opt for clothes with a tighter fit. Guests with longer hair must also tie it back to keep hair out of their faces and limit the risk of it getting stuck in equipment. Please leave your nice jewelry at home, especially anything dangly that could get caught in equipment.
Height and safety precautions
For your safety, we do enforce height and weight requirements. This is to ensure that all adventurers are able to reach everything, as well as ensure that our equipment can adequately support our climbers. Participants 12 and up must be able to reach up to a height of 5’11” with the tips of their fingers. Our Junior Ticket includes the first three sections of that course and is meant for those ages 9 to 11 who can reach up to 5’9”. Finally, climbers between the ages 6 and 8 can participate on the kids’ courses. They must be able to reach up to a heigh of 4’7” with the tips of their fingers while keeping feet flat on the ground. All climbers must be 275 pounds or less to participate on our courses.
So, the verdict is in. “Is a rope adventure park safe?”… Absolutely! When you embark on your tree to tree adventure park, you’re in for a rollercoaster of safety meets adventure. Safety isn’t just a promise, it’s our mission.
